Caught on Cam: Tribal children's shocking ride to school in Gujarat sparks row

A video of school children traveling in a risky manner has sparked a row in Gujarat. The video shows children wearing school uniform sitting on the top, hood, and footrests of a vehicle. The video was shared on social media by Congress leader and Gujarat MLA Amit Chavda, who said that the video shows the "ground reality" of the government's claims about development.The children are supposed to be from Sarvoday Vidyalaya in Munkhosla, Gujarat. The video also shows a signboard that reads ‘Jay Dashama Vidyamandir’. The school principal, Rajendrakumar Prajapati, has said that the children come to school in private vehicles. He said that he had reached out to the local state transport bus service officials and sought arrangements for the children. The incident has highlighted the lack of safe transportation for school children in rural areas of Gujarat. The video has been met with outrage on social media.
